Endeca – Monitoring the Log Server

By | April 15, 2014

How do you check the health or status of the Endeca Log Server?

You can check if the log server is running or not by issuing the following URL syntax:

http://LogServerNameorIP:LogServerPortNumber/stats

Based on above syntax and the host name / port information provided while deploying the application – LogServerNameorIP is localhost (below) and the LogServerPortNumber is 15010 (for Discover application)

http://localhost:15010/stats

If the Log Server is running, this URL returns a confirmation message containing the file name, number of log entries, and number of errors (below). If it is not running, you will see your browser’s default error
message.
