ORACLE COMMERCE V11 – What’s in it for you?

Below are some of the feature enhancements for both Business & Technical communities.

Where can I find ORACLE COMMERCE in eDelivery ?

You should look out for a new product called “Oracle Commerce” in eDelivery – should be available in couple of weeks for downloads.

Updated Product Names

ATG Web Commerce = Oracle Commerce Platform ATG Merchandising = Oracle Commerce Merchandising ATG Commerce Service Center = Oracle Commerce Service Center Endeca Guided Search = Oracle Commerce Guided Search Endeca Experience Manager = Oracle Commerce Experience Manager

GOOD NEWS ON PROFILING AND SEGMENTS

Oracle commerce profiling engine will serve as profile and segment system of record. This will enable business users to obtain the segments seamlessly into experience manager with the help of integrated engine. Today, there are additional IT tasks involved in making this happen across ATG  Segments and their appearance/integration within Endeca experience manager. Per ORACLE – It streamlines merchants experience by easily leveraging the segments created in the BCC within Experience Manager, eliminating the need to duplicate efforts in both ends. (As described above).

NEW PROMOTIONS TEMPLATES AND FEATURES

Per ORACLE Webcast, below are some of the highlights:

  • Introduction of Group Discounts – Item promotion template enables the merchant/user to identify a group of items for discount
  • Maximum discounts per order – Now you will be able to specify that out clearly
  • Maximum Coupons per Order – You will be able to specify at site level, what should be the maximum number of coupons that can be applied per order per site

Brings the benefit of better usage of templates for frequently used promotions. Also, further makes cross-channel experience management more convenient and appealing for both business & customers.
