You need to identify your top 3 most important goals for social media and work towards measuring your efforts and results (what defines success). Here is a sample list of “win” or “success” definitions

  • Number of followers, fans, readers, subscribers (or number of high-quality/targeted fans)
  • Number of e-book downloads
  • Number of online registrations to your site
  • Number of webinar registrations
  • Number of views of a certain Video or Series of videos
  • Number of retweets
  • Engagement (reading minutes on your blog site, watching videos, scanning the photos, viewing the presentation, podcast)
  • Advertising click-thru rates (CTR)
  • Volume of customer service issues handled
  • Media coverage
  • Increase Website traffic statistics by certain %
